In this post, you’ll find a brief review of a push-up board that I bought nearly a year ago. It helped me a lot and I think it could be a great addition to everyone, especially those who work from home.
Although I own a specific push-up board, I won’t talk about a branded product but about a generic one. That’s because there are many brands out there that sell this kind of push-up board. Some are expensive and some are cheap (Check the price of an average push-up board on Amazon), but in the end, they are all very similar.
I am a web developer and work from home most of the time. So, the main idea of this blog post is to show you how I use one of these push-up boards in my daily routine.
Push-ups as a universal workout routine
I don’t consider myself a fit person, but there is a workout routine that I have done almost every day since I was a teenager. I’m talking about the push-ups.
When I was a kid I dreamed about doing just one. Then, in my adolescence, I started developing my body and could do many push-ups easily. Since then, I never stopped doing push-ups. I only skip them if I don’t feel well or if I’m on vacation.
I can be more or less active, but I’ve never quit the push-ups. Today I do push-ups six days a week.
I used to do them on the floor with my bare hands. But this caused me pain in my wrists. I googled this and found out about the push-up boards. They seemed a simple and cheap solution to my problem. I didn’t hesitate and I bought one on Amazon.
How is a push-up board?
There are different kinds of supplements to do push-ups. Some of them consist of two handles that you have to set on the floor. The one I bought is similar but has a board with holes. The handles fit on the holes and according to how you set the handles, you can do different kinds of push-ups.
The main upside of the handles is that you won’t be bending your wrists, preventing accidents and pain. Besides, they allow you to reach lower, closer to the floor.
Push-up boards come with a color code. This is a guide that will help you to know how to set the handles. Depending on the configuration of the handles you can work out your chest, shoulders, back, and triceps. For each of these workouts, there are three possible handle positions.
Push-up boards are made of hard plastic. This ensures that it will support your weight and that you’ll avoid hitting your face on the floor.
The board is foldable to save space and make it more compact. Unfortunately, the handles don’t fit inside the foldable board. That would be great but I haven’t seen any model with this capability.
